PhD
I graduated from the University of Queensland in 2003 and I have worked in general practice (small animals) and in emergency medicine at the Animal Emergency Service for almost 4 years to date.
After studying biotechnology and completing my PhD as a research scientist I took the big leap to veterinary medicine and have never looked back.
I enjoy the constant challenge of emergency and critical care and feel that this is a branch of veterinary medicine where it really is possible for me to make a difference with our many patients.
My pets include a chestnut horse called Otis, 2 canine friends - a staffy called Rafferty and a cocker spaniel called Chele, a black and white feline friend called Callaghan and together with my young child the house is always busy... and noisy!
