After graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons) in 2007, I jumped straight into Emergency and Critical Care work, starting at Pet Emergency and Queensland Veterinary Specialists with an internship in Medicine, Surgery and Emergency and Critical Care.

After completing the internship I was fortunate to move to Animal Emergency Services where I have worked ever since.

Shortly after starting work with Animal Emergency Services I was coaxed into providing a home for a day old stray kitten which was brought in to work at the wee hours of the morning. Initially, it was strictly a fostering case, but after 2 days of 2 hourly bottle feeds I had already named him Axel and he is now my furry companion!
