Working night shifts at the Animal Emergency Service means we often miss couch cuddle time with our pets. The solution – including them into our day-to-day activities like coffee dates, but picking genuinely dog-friendly cafes with fantastic menus can be a needle in a haystack! We would love to share a few of our personal favourite places where we spend special moments with our dogs and woof down food together.
Caffe Primavera – A neighbourhood staple. Pasta and Pinot night for $25 AND dog-friendly, we have found perfection. We can personally recommend the Chicken Penne Pasta and the Sautéed Garlic Mushrooms, Dr Brooke’s dog, Polo however, likes to eye off the burger range. Lucky, he gets spoiled with a puppa-chino instead.
Piggyback Café – Aka dying to eat everything on their menu. These guys are the geniuses behind the Instagram famous, rainbow coffee art. They fuel our Jindalee team who are regulars indulging in the decadent sweet breakfast options; Acai bowls, Golden Gaytime Hot Cakes and Pitaya Panna Cotta. They serve equally amazing savoury items like Breakfast Bruschetta and burgers. Our furry friends are not left out puppa-chinos and ice cream options guaranteed to make all those brunch dreams come true.
Goji Granola Bar and Café – heaven on earth for health food lovers. Their specialty is incredible vegan granola bowls and coconut soft serve which is as mouth watering as it sounds! Not to mention their range of breakfast and lunch options including Salmon Benedict, juicy burgers, fresh juices AND BYO wine for those special days. Dog-lovers themselves, they serve a range of puppy ice creams.
The Caf – A lovely little café, with plenty of outdoor seating. This beautiful beach side espresso haven is perfect before hitting the beach with your pet. Wanting affordable, large meals and quality coffee – look no further.
We hope you and our pet love these cafes as much as we do!
