Nadia is a qualified Chef and that was her first career. She lost enjoyment in her career and decided to do something about it, enrolling in a TAFE course. It was through work experience placement, Nadia received her first position as a vet nurse with Marsden Vet Surgery. After having her son in 2010, Nadia applied with AES, was offered a trial period and has worked there ever since.
Nadia is particularly passionate about Client Education. She thoroughly enjoys speaking with new pet owners and educating them about caring for their pet. The most rewarding aspect is the critical care she provides very sick or injured patients every shift.
"The staff are also awesome. We all get on really well and take care of each other (particularly the nurses). The vets are all full of knowledge and we're always learning."
Nadia enjoys spending time with her son and dog 'Kujo', a 12 year old staff. Kujo has dementia, cushings disease, anxiety and arthritis. He's loved to death and a lucky boy to have such an experienced and caring mum looking after him. Nadia also enjoys taking the family for walks to the park, baking, reading and visiting friends.
