Owning a pet can be extremely rewarding, joyful and happy. However, it isn’t all fun and games, you are responsible for the being wellbeing and safety of another living being.
Pet emergencies can arise in the blink of an eye. With their inability to speak, animals are unable to explicitly tell you what is wrong but there can be tell-tail signs.
Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis in dogs (or HGE in dogs) is one such emergency. HGE in dogs can cause vomiting and bloody diarrhea. With this sudden loss of fluids, your furry friend could be at risk of dehydration.
So, if you notice your dog is vomiting and has blood in her diarrhea, contact your veterinarian immediately.
